Some facts about our National Song



As you are going to enter into PSU of India you must know some facts about India's National symbols starting from the National Song which i suppose you all know very well. Here are some facts which will help you to score above others as no other question raised in exams else than mentioned below. 
  • "Vande Mataram" is the National Song of India, which is originally written in Sanskrit language and composed by Bankim Chandra Chattrejee.
  • Vande Mataram is taken from from the novel of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, Anand Math  which is published in year 1882. 
  • Its English translation is done by Sri Surobindo.
  • Vande Mataram was sung first time at the Congress  Session of year 1896.
  • It was adopted on 24th January 1950, providing it to equal status with our National Anthem Jana gana mana.
